FUGEES REUNITING FOR THEIR FIRST TOUR IN 25 YEARS

The Fugees will reunite to celebrate the blockbuster 1996 album The Score. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel will tour for the first time in 25 years and perform their first shows in 15 years. The 12-city tour launches Wednesday in New York. That gig will support the Sept. 25 broadcast of Global Citizen Live, an event urging world leaders to protect the planet and act against poverty. The rest of the tour starts Nov. 2 in Chicago and ends in Nigeria and Ghana. Fugees’ charitable fund will partner with Global Citizen to work on philanthropic initiatives around the tour. The Fugees debuted in the early 1990s as the Tranzlator Crew, and were together for just five years and two albums. The Score, featuring a cover of Roberta Flack’s Killing Me Softly, has been certified seven-times platinum.
