Minor injuries in two-vehicle crash

Two people received minor injuries in a two-vehicle collision on the westbound Highway 417 between St. Laurent Boulevard and Riverside Drive on Tuesday morning. At about 10 a.m., Ontario Provincial Police asked motorists to avoid the area with both OPP and Ottawa Police Service officers on the scene along with firefighters and paramedics and with multiple lanes closed and traffic delays. The Ottawa Paramedic Service said two men, one in his mid-20s and one his mid-30s, were assessed, treated and transported to hospital with minor injuries from the 9:49 a.m. call. Both were in stable condition, paramedic said. Lane closures at Belfast Road were cleared as of about 10:30 a.m., the Ministry of Transportation tweeted.
