Homeowner finds creepy doll behind wall

KEVIN CONNOR

Beware of opening up walls.

When a man in the United Kingdom made a hole in the wall of his newly purchased home, he discovered a “creepy” doll in the wall with a note for him.

Homeowner Jonathan Lewis told the Liverpool Echo that while exploring his new digs, he took a hammer to a wall under a set of stairs that had been drywalled in.

And there she was — a rag doll with a letter.

“Thank you for freeing me! My name is Emily. My original owners lived in this house in 1961. I didn’t like them, so they had to go.

All they did was sing and be merry. It was sickening. Stabbing was my choice of death for them, so I hope you have knives,” the note said. “Hope you sleep well.”

The 32-year-old English teacher said he found the prank to be funny.

“Some of my friends have told me to put my house back on the market and move out, but I think it’s just a laugh,” he said.
