Tecumseh man last seen getting into kayak on Lake St. Clair

Police in Chatham-kent are searching for a missing man from Tecumseh.

Provincial police received a missing-person report around 11:40 a.m. Monday for Matthew Somogyvary, 40, from Tecumseh.

Somogyvary was last reportedly seen around 8 a.m. on Monday morning at the Waterway Cottage and Trailer Resort near Mitchell's Bay on Lake St. Clair getting into a red kayak.

Police are concerned for his well-being. He is described as sixfoot-one with a medium build and dark brown hair, thick beard and piercings in his left ear.

He is believed to be wearing a green shirt, toque and glasses, and is reported to have been in a red kayak.
